Nyashep found Richard as a young boy doing fishing in the waters of Lake Victoria and offered him a scholarship opportunity that paved the way for Richard to continue his education journey.
Instead of becoming a fisherman, Richard went on to join Win Academy primary school in Migori and Oriwo boys' high school after being saved by Nyashep. He eventually pursued a degree in Business Information Technology- BIT at Strathmore University in Nairobi.
His sponsors played a crucial role in Richard's educational success, providing support and opportunities that allowed him to excel academically. Without their assistance, Richard may not have been able to achieve his dreams of furthering his education and pursuing a career in Business Information and Technology.
From a potential fisherman in the Lake Victoria area, Richard was able to transform into a student with a bright future ahead, all thanks to the intervention and support he received along the way.
